Seven staffers qualify as finalists for Mark of Excellence Awards, 2017 Royal Purple grabs prestigious ACP Pacemaker finalist nomination

Some fantastic news over Spring Break for the Collegian Media Group. Seven of our staffers placed in the Region 7 competition for the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards. These journalists competed against top students from elite journalism programs in the Midwest and are now finalists for the conference at Iowa State in mid March.

Along with these individual achievements, the 2017 Royal Purple yearbook titled “If You Think About It” is one of eight finalists in the country for the prestigious Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker award, honoring the best of collegiate work in yearbooks.
